To meet the daily challenges of life it is not enough that we have the truths of the Word in a Bible on the
shelf. We must carry them within us. In this hostile environment of the cosmic battlefield, we must have a
spiritual survival kit in our souls (Psa. 119:11; Isa. 33:6). This manual is designed to help you put such a
kit together.

The Basics
God has a desire for every one of His children to become great. In eternity past He designed a plan that
would bring us to greatness. He foresaw everything we would need to fulfill our destiny, and He set aside
a lifetime of provisions for each of us. The purpose of this book is to lay out that plan, to show from the
Word the goal He wants us to reach and the means by which He intends we get there.

We are living in the last period of Church history; this expresses the "wake up call". 1Th 5:6: "So then let

Is the blood of Jesus Christ all-sufficient for our salvation? The moment we add anything to the cross, we
have declared that it is not. This is true whether the additional condition is placed before or after salvation.
The ANCHOR OF OUR SOUL is the finished work of Christ (Heb. 6:18-20), is SURE and
STEADFAST!
Rivers of Living Waters
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him
come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers
of living water". Joh 7:37-38

to superior performance under the extreme demands of combat environment by intensive training,
intellectually and physically. My prayer is that you will be challenged to excel in your own life and to

The Lord promises "hidden manna" to those that overcome in Rev 2:17. It is significant that the children
of Israel went through 40 years of wandering, and every day they went out to get what God and Moses
called “bread from heaven” -- manna (Exodus 16:4, Exodus 16:14-27). God had told the people that manna
was both a provision and a test. We can learn many lessons from God's faithfulness, Israel's failure, and
Jesus Christ Himself -- "The Bread of Life".

Basic Training Bible Ministries was founded in
1994 with the objective of providing categorical
Bible teaching and study materials without cost to
those who desire them. As such, this ministry
continues to exist due to the free-will offerings of
believers who desire to be part of our outreach.
As a ministry of biblical truth, we are convinced
that the church has been given one mission… “make
disciples” (Mat. 28:19). Jesus' parting words to His
disciples remain as the “guidon”, or battle flag, to
which all true ministries must adhere. The task of
disciple-making is achieved in three distinct actions:
evangelism, edification, and equipping:
Evangelism - We believe in “teaching evangelism.”
By this we mean that the most effective way to
reach the lost is to teach about the Person and work
of the Lord Jesus Christ as Redeemer and Savior
through the work of His cross.
Edification - The New Testament epistles make it
clear that “growing up” in the faith is primarily the
result of a clear understanding of major Bible
doctrines and their implementation in life. This
results from a right relationship with God,
maintained by surrendering to His indwelling Spirit
and obedience to His Word. The Word of God
provides the building blocks for the spiritual life.
Equipping - All Christians are called to be active
participants in reaching the lost and building the
faith of fellow believers. Each believer is spiritually
gifted for a specific role in the body. To operate
effectively in that gift, the believer must be given
clear biblical instruction on how to fulfil his spiritual
responsibilities. These include fellowship in a local
church, prayer, giving, and service. Since the Bible is
the final authority for all matters of faith and
conduct, it becomes the text book for an active and
productive Christian life.
